When the weather starts to really warm up in Kelowna, one of my favourite things to do is to get a giant scoop ice cream, from the shop across City Park, and wander alongside the lake. I like to tell myself that the calories don’t count when paired with a walk. At any rate, like a trip to the market, a frozen treat is pretty much a spring and summer time essential. At least it is in my books.
As per my undeniable love for ice cream, I have gathered a list of the best ice cream shops (as far as I’m concerned) in Kelowna and nearby towns. Such towns are both north and south of the city. I may have also thrown in a few gelato options.
When curating this list, I made an effort to include options that were near the lake (I mean, it is the Okanagan) or also an easy stop if en route to a destination. With that being said, a few of these spots are definitely worth the detour.
From Summerland to Sicamous, any of the below spots will satisfy a frozen treat craving. Not to mention, a perfect pairing to spring and summer time.
Whether you are at the beach, shopping, or on a road trip, you can consider yourself covered.
