little Christmas tree ideas for November & December decor

Family tradition requires me to (impatiently) wait until the first weekend of December before I get to decorate the Christmas tree at my parents. I obviously do not have the patience to wait until December, which is why I have a little one foot tree for my own home.

If you’re ready to move on from fall and overly excited about the holidays (like me) I have found that a little tree is an easy way to transition into the winter season. It’s also one of my favourite ways to subtly add touch of pre Christmas cheer into a home!

I’ve had my little tree since the first year I moved out. My home may be small, but by my budget at the time was much smaller. Regardless, I was decorating my home for the holidays! As such, I was SO thrilled to discover that I could get a lightly flocked tree, with my points from The Bay.

Often I’ll bring out my little Christmas tree on November 12th. It fits perfectly upon the side table in my living room, which I surround with the wrapped gifts waiting to be taken to my parents’ house on Christmas Eve.

While I put up my tree mid-November, I usually wait until after Black Friday to decorate it. I still use and love the dainty fairy lights and mini glass balls that I bought the same year.
