April 18 to April 24

As per previous years, the above access dates are exclusive to Sephora’s Beauty Insider Loyalty Program.

Throughout the year I keep an on-going list of recommended products from my favourite beauty experts. Then leading up to the Sephora Spring Savings Event, I will take note of my current inventory of beauty products, that I’ll want to have on hand for the upcoming spring and summer season and shop my list.

Below I have gathered a list of some of my favourite reoccurring spring and summer products, in addition to a few new items that I really want to try.

If you’re planning to shop the upcoming sale, I hope that you find this list helpful.

Below you will find everything categorized under:

  3. HAIR

exfoliating cleanser

Either the deep exfoliating or gentle exfoliating cleanser will withstand the spring and summer forecast and everything that comes with it.

purifying mask

I have tried both the clay and charcoal masks and honestly I like them both. It’s really a matter of preference.

A fair warning that the charcoal can leave a bit of a mess on your bathroom vanity if you’re not careful.

lip balm

Very rarely am I without a lip balm.

This Fresh lip balm is super nourishing and l use it all year long, but I also love the lighter Herbivore one for the spring and summer months.

If your lips tend to get super dry, add either the Fresh or Ilia hydrating lip masks to your bedtime routine.

As per the dry spring and summer months, I absolutely must always have a bottle of toner on hand. I apply it immediately after washing or exfoliating my face.

I recently addd the Glow Recipe toner to my skincare repertoire, which I am loving for minimizing the uninvited pores on my nose.

This hydrating serum & cream duo is great to have on hand for those days when you’ve been out in the sun longer than anticipated. Which, seems to happen to me at least once a year.

lotion & cream

A really light body lotion, that I am loving for the spring and summer months, is the fragrance-free one from Nécessaire.

The hand cream is also fragrance free and excellent. The L’Occitane one is another one of my favourite hand creams.

retinol (alternative)

Seconds after discovering lines on my forehead, I went on a retinol deep dive.

I ended up going with a bakuchiol + peptides serum. It’s a lot less abrasive and so far my face has been loving it.

A note that it is generally recommended to avoid retinol if you’ll be within direct sun exposure.

BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum

I have been using this scrumptious strawberry serum to help smooth my skin as per the uninvited blemishes that like to occasionally stop by.

night cream

This cream was recommended to me as a nighttime moisturizer with ant-aging benefits.

While kind of boring, sunscreen is a rather boring yet underrated beauty essential for the the spring and summer months. This year I am going to try applying this Laneige sunscreen to my face, as a makeup primer, for extra coverage.

self tanner

I’ve been using the tanning spray for the last few summers. Loved the colour, but the bottle was a bit temperamental.

I have a feeling that the oil mist will be easier to apply.

Make sure you apply a body lotion right after to lock in that new summer glow on your skin!

Brow Pencil

Whether it’s the spring or fall savings event, you can pretty much guarantee that this eyebrow pencil (EBONY) will be in my basket.

SPF foundation

Either the SPF 30 tinted moisturizer (OPAL 01)or the SPF 15 loose powder (FAIR) are great foundation options that offer extra sun protection.

face palette

If you’re anything like me and prefer to keep your bronzer, highlighter and blush all in one place!

Loving this palette compact (ITALIAN SUMMER) for those spring and summer getaways.

waterproof mascara & eyeliner

Between beach days and weddings, spring and summer often calls for waterproof eyeliner (ZERO) and mascara (CATWALK BLACK).

Confirming that these are both ugly cry proof.

setting powder & spray

To lock in my makeup, so that it withstands the heat, I apply this setting powder (COMPLETELY SHEER) and setting spray.

lip gloss

I love a lip balm, but I do like a clear gloss (GLASS) or a faint pink (PINK IRRESISTIBLE) for those summer occasions.

If I do wear a lipstick I will opt for an understated light pink (NO MORE ORCHIDS) or an almost nude (PLATINUM) shade.

Maintain that healthy shine in your hair with either an intense treatment mask and/or a quick gloss rinse.

style prep

I apply this blowout cream right after I wash my hair while and this glossing serum once my hair is dry.

heat protectant

Protect your hair from styling tools and add a little extra shine.

curling wand

For that effortless beach wave look.

light hair spray

Hairspray that you can lightly brush out your curls with.

light floral

To me, Blooming Bouquet is the epitome of spring time and Bright Crystal is as playful as a summer’s night.

sweet floral

This Jo Malone fragrance takes me back to childhood memories in my grandparent’s orchards while the Marc Jacobs one reminds me of a subtly sweet strawberry patch.
