I have always been drawn to the minimal and often calming aesthetic of a home with a white exterior. Whether the home is a modern or traditional style, there is just something about the timelessness of white. It truly will not date.

What I also love about going with a white exterior, is the versatility and freshness that it bestows on a home. By this I mean, that you will not tire of it.

It’s kind of like when I occasionally change things up with my manicure and go with a colour outside of my nude, white or blush rotation. By the end of the week, I am bored with the colour choice. Whereas if I go with a more neutral option, I can easily go for three weeks.

I also may have a bit of a romantic fantasy tied to the idea of a white home. Kind of like Ali from The Notebook. Except mine has more of a Tudor aesthetic, with black metal windows and an 8 foot door. Also, instead of a painting room and giant porch, I want fruit trees and a mini version of my Auntie Toni’s garden.

Oh, and while I’m at it, a dog too!!
